Nice Sham. Like the quilt, it is double-sided (inside and out as well)
Like the quilt I bought, the ad seems to not mention that the sham will be two sided with two different colorways. When I selected "red" and started picking one of the three sizes, "corresponding photos" showed up. The one I picked was the one left in stock, and was red/white. To my surprise, it was red/burgundy/white on one side, and red/white on the back side. Bonus whimsy. For some.
As I mentioned in my quilt feedback, having the reverse side also patterned means that an "opposite" dark layer resides on the flip side of the white. Making the white. . . less. The weave is large enough to track the "red" backside, a bleed of sorts. The seams that are white folded back on itself show that it could've been crisp white, if it had been backed in white.
Additional "Oh WHY" to mention:
I knew they would be using the fabric of the quilt, and that the pillow sides would have a reverse print INSIDE the sham, because it's fabric by the yard, in a way. However, on the inside, is two different colorways. The red/burgundy/white is backed in red/white (like the large quilt). But the flip side, the red/white side, is backed with white/red (not red/white/burgundy). This was a chuckle.
It's still well made, and I live too rural to return it easily. It won't kill me. It just didn't make me smile as MUCH as I wished it would. I only asked the company that they update their photos or description to clearly state that blankets and shams were going to be two sided. I find the cream is not as "pop" of color, due to the backsided color showing through. Plenty of people love it. I might've loved it had I been prepared for it. And I really wanted to also buy the brown one, for layering and general color, but now I won't. It will be way too busy busy (for me).
