Sustainability
Want Better, Not More.
Since the very beginning, we've been committed to not only designing beautifully crafted modern American heirlooms, but doing so in a way that considers our overall impact on the environment. Through our sustainable approach to design, and our key values of simplicity, utility, quality, and timelessness, we craft and source long-lasting products that inspire people to create unique and meaningful spaces in which to live and work. We believe that any step in the right direction is a good one, and are dedicated to continuing to evaluate our methods of sustainability in the creation and production of our heirloom-quality products.
Materials
We strive to use sustainable materials across all of our products, and regularly seek out 3rd party certifications to ensure these materials are both sustainable, and safe for everyday use. This includes using FSC certified wood, and Oeko-Tex Standard certified bedding to guarantee that every component is tested for harmful substances that could be detrimental.
Factory
When it comes to our factory, we focus on sustainability by recycling all of our metal scraps and excess glass at local facilities, as well as distributing our seconds items rather than disposing of them. We're also focused on revamping our purchasing process to consolidate more materials into fewer deliveries, lowering our overall carbon footprint.
Shipping
A few sustainable practices that we engage in to reduce our carbon footprint are consolidating shipments and limiting our overall use of plastic packaging. We also strive to cut down on excessive freight, which contributes greatly to greenhouse gasses, by keeping 80% of our assortment domestic.
