Update: A New Beginning Is In The Works

We know it's been a while, and we're here to update our community and also share how grateful we are for each of you. Whether you currently have Schoolhouse in your home, have used us in a project, or just look to us for inspiration, we thank you!

Where has Schoolhouse been? What's going on?

If you haven't heard already, Schoolhouse was acquired by the Hudson Valley Lighting Group (HVLG) on February 13th, 2026.

HVLG is a family of design-driven lighting brands, including Hudson Valley Lighting, Troy, Corbett, Mitzi, Sonneman, and CSL. We serve designers, retailers, and homeowners who believe great lighting transforms spaces.

We deeply respect Schoolhouse's legacy and are working hard behind the scenes to bring the brand you know and love back online. This includes restocking classic best-selling styles, bringing new products to life with the same Schoolhouse design ethos, and preparing the website for relaunch. We share Schoolhouse's commitment to quality, well-made designs, and creating meaningful pieces that bring purpose, character, and joy to the everyday.

Most importantly, we're here for you, because just as much as we respect the Schoolhouse brand, we know that it wouldn't be what it is today without you. You have questions, and we're working through the answers.

What about my Schoolhouse trade discount?

The Schoolhouse trade program is now part of the HVLG program, giving designers and trade professionals extended benefits and pricing for all of our brands (Hudson Valley, Troy, Corbett, Mitzi, Sonneman, CSL, and now Schoolhouse!). We invite trade professionals to join the HVLG trade program.

Will there be a new Schoolhouse?

Yes and no. Schoolhouse now has the support and resources of HVLG, along with our 40 years of design and operational expertise. The Schoolhouse products you all know and love will continue, with some thoughtful refinements. Our goal is to remain transparent as we confirm what products will still be in the line, and we're excited for new additions later this year. This includes lighting, decor, hardware, and bedding. 

At the same time, we will be extremely intentional about maintaining the magic of the Schoolhouse brand: a new generation of heirloom pieces made to create unique, meaningful spaces. We're so honored to be trusted to evolve this amazing brand.
