Modern Door Chime

We had a brick sized doorbell unit with discolored plastic housing. This was SUCH an upgrade. It is an actual bell, it really rings, and its not quiet nor too loud. It blends in on our white wall, but it's so beautiful it doesn't have to. I was also pleased that it works with a ring camera smart doorbell unit we installed.

I have a Victorian home and the door bell is very visible from both living rooms. This is the only one I can imagine looking at the time! Cute but blends in nicely. Good mix of minimal and traditional. Would totally recommend.

Elegant in its simplicity. Given how many doorbells are little more than software "smart home" add-ons, or privacy nightmares masquerading as security products, it's reassuring to know that a door bell can still be a door bell. Without options like this the only choices would be cheap plastic eyesores. $199 is expensive, and I'd love to see greater transparency around pricing. But with something as simple as this "…from ethically-sourced domestic and global components" might actually mean something. Oh yeah and the sound is distinct in an analog way, and plenty loud.

So we bought this 'Modern Door Chime' thinking it would be a quieter simulation of a school bell, but no it's actually pretty loud and now that we've spent all this money installing it we're kind of stuck with it. I think an audio clip of what it sounds like would've been really helpful.

This device is over priced and under performs. Instead of ringing like a school bell, as advertised, the clapper makes a nice ring the first time it hits the bell, but then just rattles around and the is not very loud. I wanted a doorbell that would ring continuously and was about as loud as a conventional doorbell. I frequently missed my old doorbell because the ding-dong is too short if there is a lot of other noise. This product is so quiet I can barely hear it. The product is difficult to install with all of the connections in the back and a flush mount. It would have been easy for terminal connections to be provided in the bell. I needed to supply standoffs to make the installation work.

So incredibly overpriced it’s breathtaking.
