Both classic and modern, this assortment is inspired by all the wonderful things that come to mind when you think of a party – sprinkles, Funfetti, birthday cake, and rainbows. “We wanted to offer something that could appeal to all ages without losing its Schoolhouse style and character.” says Associate Product Developer Tana Sollars, “With playful pops of color and a refreshing white backdrop, this bedding sits perfectly in both worlds.” Bringing us back to a state of child-like wonder, the collection captures the spirit of celebration in a way that is both playful and elegant.
It’s no secret that at Schoolhouse we’re obsessed with the details. And the Confetti Collection is no exception. It’s the material that truly makes this assortment special. Made in Portugal, its classic and heirloom appearance comes from rich, yarn-dyed woven cotton. The fabric uses a special type of yarn that is a combination of plain white cotton with multi-colored confetti "dots" sprinkled and spun into it. As the yarn cone unravels and is weaved into the fabric, it undergoes a spectacular transformation.
Tana continues, “The scale of this woven pattern is so small that the colors are perceived differently from varying distances. When you’re up close with the bedding, you get to fully experience the color pops. While when you’re afar, it reads a little calmer as a fresh white bedding set. There’s something fun about the individual discovery each person gets to have with it as they approach.” The finished fabric is an expertly crafted, heirloom-worthy household staple.
Like many products at Schoolhouse, this collection is the result of a little bit of inspiration, aspiration, and a lot of problem-solving. Our designers had been hearing from the retail store teams that customers were craving bed linens to go with our other collections (like the Blooming Field and Painterly Stripe sets). By designing something neutral but still playful in texture, look, and feel, we were able to achieve a final product that is unique but also easily mixed and matched.
Perfect for brightening up your bedroom or bathroom, the collection is available as a sheet set, duvet, pillow case, sham, and shower curtain. Made from cotton, the Confetti bedding is lightweight enough to be used in the summer, but also works well with thicker quilts to be used throughout the cooler seasons. When used in the bathroom, the Confetti shower curtain adds a refreshing touch. Mixing and matching is easy thanks to complementary colors that rest on a crisp white background.
