Tighten screws as much as you can
The shelf is very sturdy and holds a 20 lb computer with no strain when mounted with the toggle bolts (no studs). Do note that you will need to tighten the screws a lot before it will be fully secure. I tightened to where I thought it was secure and the shelf seemed unstable under load. After a lot more tightening with a screwdriver, everything is rock solid. These are not supposed to be finger tight, use your muscles until there is absolutely no play with the shelf. One star off because the finishing on the screw heads isn't great. This is a simple shelf, a bent piece of metal with brass mounting hardware showing. The screws may well be brass, but they're dull and look as though a dull gold finish was spray painted on -- not horrible, and normally I wouldn't knock a star off, but this is an expensive shelf where the screws are one of only two visible design elements contributing to the overall style. The finish should be more like the picture, less dull and more premium looking.

A pain to install
The wood screws are long and are not Phillips-head screws. This makes it difficult to use an electric drill. I ended up slipping my drill out of 2 screws and scratched the shelf twice. Using a screwdriver for the final hole wasn’t fun, either. Still love the shelf, though.
