Great looking towel bar with some shortcomings
This is a very nice minimalistic design, and the overall fit and finish looks great out of the box.
In my opinion, with a simple modern design like this every detail matters, especially at this price point. The hardware provided for installation, and the visible drywall anchor after installation, is really where I feel they missed the mark.
My installation experience:
The first towel bar I installed had backing behind the drywall, so no need to use the provided drywall anchors. The only thing is, the screws they provided are just not long enough to hold up long term. You will need to make a trip to the hardware store.
The second towel bar, I ended up having to use their provided drywall anchors. Every single drywall anchor is visible! This will bug me forever.
Just a thought, increase the diameter of the towel bar material by a 1/16" (a few mm), and countersink the backside of the bored holes to diameter of the head of the supplied drywall anchors. The drywall anchors will be hidden, and the overall aesthetic will be improved.
