I got this for my office but was frustrated by the quality of the build - the wood, veneer and misaligned doors and gaps at edges make it look like ikea quality for 1000USD

Not at all worth the price. I love the design, but the quality does not match the high price point—at this level, you’d expect solid wood construction and far better communication throughout the process. Unfortunately, Schoolhouse has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Shipping times are inaccurate, communication is poor, and any outreach is met with slow, unhelpful responses. I emailed customer service multiple times and waited three days each time for a reply that clearly didn’t address the issue I raised. I’ve placed two separate orders, hoping the first bad experience was a one-off—it wasn’t. The cabinet is a better value than the nightstands, but overall, I’m disappointed. Also be aware: shipping takes many weeks (which would be fine if that was communicated), and I received no tracking info or heads-up. Instead, I got a surprise delivery call and had to take a full day off work to receive the shipment—something that was not made clear at checkout or in any follow-up communication. To make matters worse, Schoolhouse appears to actively block negative reviews from being posted to their website. I wrote a more thorough and helpful review initially and was told to resubmit it multiple times, with no success. Based on what I’ve seen on Reddit, this is a common experience. The designs may look great, but the service and overall value are severely lacking. I wouldn’t order again.
