Sounds a little silly, but it took me a long time to find this hook/peg rail. I installed this in a hallway at a low height for our little ones, so it had to be durable, but also easy on the eyes because we'd be looking at it up close all the time. I like that the wooden pegs are substantial and solidly mounted to the metal plate. (What's up with the other rails with pegs that are basically doweling? No way.) They're strong enough to withstand daily use for backpacks and the like, but not sharp or pointy like metal hooks. Speaking of metal, the backing plate is well-made, no noticeable blemishes on the finish. Even the mounting screws have threaded covers to make the whole thing look really polished. Installation basically takes two screws and a bubble level, literally done in five minutes. Sure, it's a little pricey, but in this case I think it's well worth it. When we redo our entryway, there's a good chance I'll put another one of these there!

The hook rack looks just like it does on the online pictures. Beautiful. The installation process was rather straightforward with an ingenious way to hide the screw heads. It really makes are mud room look a lot better.
