    Great staple light
The Alabax is a hero purchase in any size or color. The simplicity makes the piece super versatile, with the ability to completely change the look by switching out the bulb.

    Wonderful lights
Perfect for above our kitchen counter — and dimmable for a softer light when needed.

    Charming
This is a really really lovely piece. Wish the backplate was a few cm bigger though, I’m not sure if it will cover the drywall hole completely. I think it is also very overpriced.

    Beautiful disaster
I've installed dozens if not hundreds of light fixtures and engineered and built thousands of my own lamps. This product, while genuinely lovely, is hands down the most atrociously conceived fixture I've ever dealt with. Truly befuddling engineering that not only makes what should be a very simple installation a miserable experience but with tolerance limitations that actually diminish from the end result. Hire an electrician or, better yet, an exorcist.

    Beautiful but nightmare to install
This is a well crafted, attractive fixture. But it was a nightmare to install. The electrical wiring was a piece of cake. Screwing the fixture into the mounting bracket and electrical box was very difficult. I installed four of them. The first one cracked as I tightened the screw. The last three are screwed on lightly. I am aware that Schoolhouse advises that professional installation by an electrician. Simple lights like this one should be easy to install into existing, standard electrical boxes by any savvy DIYer. The design is flawed.
