The Designer’s Journal: Inside Together Home’s Light-Filled, Soulful Interiors

For the design duo behind Together Home, great design starts with connection—both to the space and the people who live in it. Known for their timeless, organic, and modern aesthetic, their work is rooted in the belief that the most beautiful interiors are deeply personal: a curated reflection of memories, experiences, and the things you love most. “We always begin by really getting to know our clients,” they share. “Where they’ve been, what they’re drawn to, what makes them feel at home—that’s the story we want to tell.”
We caught up with Together Home to learn more about their thoughtful process, where they find inspiration, and how they bring feeling and function into every space—one carefully chosen detail at a time.

Describe your design style in three words.
Timeless, organic, modern.
Where do you draw your design inspiration from?
We draw our inspiration from everywhere—travel, nature, our surroundings, and, most importantly, people. Design is a powerful tool that can transform a space into a true reflection of who you are. To us, the most beautiful interiors are those that feel deeply personal—a curated collection of experiences, memories, and the things you love. That’s why we take the time to really get to know our clients before we dive into the design. We want to understand where they’re from, what they're drawn to, and what makes them feel at home. It’s their story we’re telling through the space we create.

What design “rule” do you always follow, and which was made to be broken?
Design today isn’t about hard-and-fast rules—it’s about what feels right for the space and the people living or working in it. That said, if there’s one “rule” we always try to follow, it’s this: let the light in. We’re big believers in maximizing natural light wherever possible. It brings life, warmth, and an effortless sense of calm to a space—something no trend can replace.
Can you share your favorite way to create a statement-making moment in a room?
Art—whether it’s a painting, photograph, textile, or ceramic piece—is one of our favorite ways to create a statement in a room. We love sourcing work from talented makers and artists, and finding that perfect piece that doesn’t just fill a space, but speaks directly to your soul. It’s those personal, expressive touches that make a room truly unforgettable.

Can you tell us about your favorite Schoolhouse product?
We’re completely smitten with the sweet little Teig Lamp. Its compact size makes it incredibly versatile—we’ve styled it on bookshelves, nightstands, even kitchen counters. Anywhere you need a pop of color and a warm, inviting glow, the Tieg fits right in. It’s the perfect blend of charm and function, and we find ourselves reaching for it again and again.
Any fun facts about the space pictured?
When we first designed this space, our client’s son was just five years old. Now he’s a pre-teen, and we recently gave the room a fresh update to grow with him. The one thing that stayed? The brass sconces—they’ve stood the test of time and still feel just right.
