When comedian Chelsea Peretti first stepped into the newly-designed podcast studio on her Los Angeles property, she instantly felt the magic. “I loved all the warmth, the retro wood, and the special feeling that so many parties had taken place there over the years,” Chelsea shares.

By blending vibrant textiles with the existing old-timey bar, Chelsea, along with designer Sally Breer, crafted a thoughtful space full of personality—and even some Wheel of Fortune-inspired art. With her love for mixing old and new, the studio feels like a true reflection of her unique style—full of warmth and designed for ultimate comfort. Below, Chelsea shares how this playful yet nostalgic space came to life, along with the memories that make it truly special.

Describe your personal style and how it’s reflected in your studio.
I like high/low style. New mixed with old. I love color, and I love warmth.

What inspired the style of your space?
The bones were there. I think that's a design-y thing to say, so I'm going with it. The bones were there, and it was more about a refresh than an overhaul.

What is your favorite detail of your studio?
The wood walls and long built-in bench.

What change did you make to your space that you regret? Which one makes you the happiest?
I don't believe in regret. Just kidding, regret is my guiding principle. In my next place, "comfort" will be paramount over all other things. Extreme comfort.

What is your best memory of time spent in your space?
All the podcasts past. A lot of great guests and memories. But before we get too warm and fuzzy, one time I saw a coyote outside. I felt a presence, looked up, and a massive coyote was silently staring into my eyes and soul. So it's a magical place, but danger lurks just outside at any given moment.

What Schoolhouse pieces feel the most at home in your space, and why?
I love the Plaid Wool Rug, the Hans Task Lamp and Teig, and the Canebrake Wool Blanket. Really everything. Schoolhouse is a great combination of chic and laidback with great color selections and cool vintage references. Too many L.A. homes are all white. It gets clinical.
