Isaac Desk Lamp

This is so well-made. I love the adjustable arm. And the range of colors are fantastic. The little details like the hardware and the cord are the things I look for and appreciate.

I ordered a desk lamp for my kiddo, knowing that if she doesn't like it, I can use it. It is good quality and exactly as expected. The color is beautiful and I couldn't be happier. Only thing that would make it better is if it came with a lightbulb. Spending this much on a lamp and then having to buy an expensive special bulb is the only drawback.

We were matching color with the Tieg lamp for our ski cabin bedside tables. I have the Tieg on my side and this was for my husband. I want his now! This is a gorgeous lamp; we purchased in the Alder color. Quality as always.

Bright and cheery, well made, easy to assemble, and provides the perfect amount of light at my desk. Highly recommend!

Its the best looking lamp $400 will get ya. Sure I could purchase a lamp from Wayfair, but I chose to support American manufacturing. Pro tip: plug it into a smart plug so you dont have to reach over to turn it off every night.

The studio lamp is a wonderful addition to my work-from-home office. The fun persimmon color adds a creative touch to my space. I was worried that the overall footprint of the lamp might be too large, but the lamp can be adjusted for even small spaces. I love it and know that it will be a piece that will be used in our home for many years to come!

I received my Studio lamp today. It is beautiful and has a nice, hefty weight, but the base arrived damaged with scrape marks in the paint. (I'm sure Schoolhouse will take care of it as they have been very helpful in the past.) Otherwise, a perfect lamp that makes me smile!

I love the Industrial Yellow color of this lamp — it fits perfectly with my office. The lamp looks cute and elegant, and it a great addition to the room. However, there are a few quirks you wouldn't expect until you use the lamp in person. • The biggest thing is the way the lamp head screws on to the rod — because of this, when you adjust the head to tilt left or right, it can start to unscrew, and then limply fall back to center. In practice, this makes using it as a task light that's frequently adjusted pretty frustrating. Fortunately mine is pretty stationary, but it's a limiting factor. • The other thing I didn't realize was that you need to use small G16/G16.5 bulbs. Standard A19 bulbs are very visible and mean you're going to be staring at a bare bulb looking weirdly like a fried egg — it's unsightly. This isn't a big problem, but it's hard to find G16 LED bulbs that are the color temperature you want, good quality, high CRI, and sufficiently bright. Again, I really like this lamp and the way it looks, but if you want a desk lamp that you'll adjust frequently, architect-lamp styles will likely be a better fit.

While these lamps are certainly aesthetically pleasing and made of nice materials, the design and function of the lamp left a lot to be desired. These are not easily adjustable. The weight of the lamp head mades adjusting a challenging feat. We considered having these for bedside lighting that could be used for reading -- my recommendation is these lights are meant to be adjusted once and then not touched again. If one who is not familiar with the light goes to adjust it, it will surely slide all the way down the pole and slam. This is an accident waiting to happen. We did return the lamps because of this. A note on Schoolhouse's customer service: please, PLEASE hire more folks - it takes weeks to have someone email you back. Meanwhile, I'll receive 2-3 marketing emails per day. Schoolhouse, I like your products, but the quality of customer service makes it hard to continue shopping with you, never mind recommending to others. At this point, I would not recommend shopping with Schoolhouse until they bolster their customer service department.
